    Threads is adding a Grok-like AI search feature

    Meta is testing a new AI-powered feature on Threads that allows users to tag the @meta.ai account in posts and replies for additional context, similar to X's Grok bot. The feature is in early beta and rolling out first to users in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Argentina, and Singapore. Meta also announced expansions of its AI across other apps like WhatsApp and Instagram, while acknowledging users can mute the bot.
