US President Donald Trump has once again advocated the elimination of nuclear weapons by countries. "It would be wonderful if everybody got rid of their nuclear weapons. Russia and we have the most nuclear weapons by far. China will have the same amount of nuclear weapons in four or five years. It would be wonderful if we could all denuclearize, because the power of nuclear weapons is insane," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.

Closer to a Nuclear Disarmament Deal

Trump said that during his first term, he was very close to a nuclear disarmament agreement with Russia. The US President said that he had also talked to Chinese President Jinping on this matter. He said that he would very much like to resume those talks. Nuclear disarmament would be incredible. Trump said that there has been a lot of progress in relations with Ukraine and Russia in the last few days, and it would be great to put it to an end so that they no longer have to talk about nuclear weapons in that way.
