New Registration Values from February 1: Sathya Prasad

The coalition government, after coming into power, is making several changes, including modifications to the registration process. As part of these changes, new registration values will come into effect in Andhra Pradesh from February 1. State Revenue, Registration & Stamps Minister Anagani Sathya Prasad stated that extensive preparations have been made for this change. However, he clarified that there will be no changes in the registration values for the capital villages.

Speaking to the media at the Secretariat, he mentioned that in growth centers with a market value that is 10 times higher, registration values would increase. In some areas, where the registration values were already higher than the market values, the registration values will be reduced accordingly.

He also pointed out that during the previous government's tenure, large-scale land encroachments took place with the help of Mandal Revenue Officers (MROs). He emphasized that those who illegally seized land, particularly from the poor, would not be spared. Strict actions would be taken against officials who are found guilty of such crimes. To address land disputes comprehensively, committees would be set up with Collectors to study 22A lands, 596 Jivolas, and four additional issues.
