Karnataka: Speculations have been circulating that Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar might switch parties. However, he has denied these rumors. He shocked everyone by revealing that BJP leaders have been in touch with him. He also stated that leaders of the saffron party are attempting to join Congress. In an interview, he said, "Let the BJP first fix its own house. Several MLAs in the party are trying to stay in touch with Congress leaders."

"No discussions are needed on this matter," he stated, adding that the party ministers have already addressed it. Recently, there were criticisms about Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder of the Isha Foundation, meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Regarding this, DK clarified that the program was spiritual and not political. He emphasized that he attended the event only because Sadhguru invited him and reminded that Sadhguru has been fighting for the Cauvery waters as well.

On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the Isha Foundation organized a special program in Coimbatore, where Amit Shah and DK Shivakumar participated. Following this, rumors began circulating that DK was getting closer to the BJP, causing unrest within Congress circles. BJP leader and opposition leader R. Ashoka drew comparisons between DK Shivakumar and Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. However, Karnataka Congress President Vijayanand dismissed the rumors about DK switching parties. In response to the speculations, DK Shivakumar has also clarified his stance.
