Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Bundi Sanjay Kumar today said that the Central Government is committed to the development and empowerment of women. Greeting on the occasion of Women's Day today, Bundi Sanjay issued a statement saying that women are considered sacred in Hindu society. The mother of this universe is also a woman. He paid tribute to those women who sacrificed everything for the country. He said that the Central Government has deposited Rs. 1 crore in the accounts of their children in the name of those women and has also provided free tap connections.

He also highlighted the invaluable roles played by women as sisters, wives, and companions. "Without a woman, there is no creation," he said. The Ujjwala Yojana has freed 11 crore women from the burden of traditional cooking fuels, while the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana are uplifting women across the country.

Criticising political parties for making tall promises on Women's Day but not fulfilling them, he pointed to unfulfilled promises of monthly financial assistance, gold, and scooters for women. He accused the current Telangana government of neglecting women's welfare, failing to curb social issues related to alcohol, and ignoring its promise to abolish belt shops. He urged Telangana women, who carry forward the legacy of Rani Rudrammadevi, to recognise the difference between empty rhetoric and real empowerment.
